What
We Believe About Biblical Prophesy
1.
Prophecy Concerning the Church. The Church, which began on the day
of Pentecost, will be taken by rapture when "the fullness of the Gentiles
be come in" (Romans 11:25). The rapture of the Church will
encompass all believers and will precede the beginning of Daniel's 70th
week (Daniel 9:24-27). Following the rapture all the Church will
stand before the Bema seat of Christ for the purpose of receiving rewards
(2 Corinthians 5:10). And the glorified Church will accompany Christ
at His Second Advent to the earth.
2.
Prophecy Concerning Israel. God will again deal with Israel, who
at the present time is in blindness, during the Tribulation period.
At the close of the Tribulation Christ will return again to the earth instituting
the fulfillment of the Kingdom promises during the one thousand-year Millennial
Kingdom. The resurrection of Old Testament saints will take
place just prior to the Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:3-5). Those
Israelites living at the time of the Second Advent will enter the Millennial
Kingdom fulfilling the covenant promises made to Israel.
3.
Prophecy Concerning the Nations. God will bring judgment to the nations
during the Tribulation and final judgment at the conclusion of the Millennial
Kingdom (Revelation 20:9-15).
4.
Prophecy Concerning Believers. Although believers in the Church,
Israel, and the Nations may have different places in God's plan throughout
the ages (such as observed in the Millennial Kingdom) all saved people
will spend eternity in perfect fellowship with God.
5.
Prophecy Concerning the Devil. Upon the establishment of the Millennial
Kingdom Satan will be bound for one thousand years (Revelation 20:2). Upon
the close of the Millennial reign of Christ Satan will be loosed from his
bondage in order that he might rally all the unsaved peoples living at
that time in final rebellion against God (Revelation 20:7-9). This
rebellion will be quickly dissolved as Satan himself is cast into the lake
of fire where he will be “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation
20:10).
6.
Prophecy Concerning the Unsaved. After the Millennial Kingdom the
unsaved of all ages will be brought before the Great White Throne Judgment
in order that they may receive official judgement for their sins.
As the result of this judgement all unsaved mankind will be consigned to
eternal torment in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:12-15).
